PUBLISHER'S CORNER

I used to grow sunflowers every year. It was kind of my thing. The last few years the critters have been winning.

And this year I didn't bother.

Then I spotted it, a sunflower growing in one of my neglected hanging flower pots. It found a way to survive, to do the thing I couldn't help it do - escape the critters and grow.

There's a lesson in there somewhere for me – never give up, where there's a will there's a way, grow where you're planted.

Or maybe, when life throws you some curves and you don't get around to planting anything - but your heart longs for a sunflower, expect the unexpected.
