PUBLISHER'S CORNER

Add this to the book of "things I waited my whole life to learn:" There's a fish called a sea robin that has legs and crawls around the bottom of the ocean, tasting the sand with its six spindly legs as it seeks food.

Sea robins have bulging eyes like a frog’s, fins that look similar to a bird’s wings and six legs resembling a crab’s. They are “the weirdest, coolest fish I’d ever seen”, says developmental biologist David Kingsley at Stanford University in California, who studies the animals.

According to this article in Nature, researches have known about this odd fish for a while but only recently did they dive in to discover how it has evolved (legs first, taste buds on the legs later).

Who knew?

This November, we have the opportunity to elect leaders to the State House and Senate who will fight for common sense solutions to the challenges facing hardworking Granite Staters, stand up against extreme policies, and create a more prosperous future for New Hampshire.
