Jon Kiper has mastered the recipe for governing New Hampshire

It became clear to me then that Jon Kiper, the only one of them to speak up on behalf of the people, is the kind of governor we deserve—one who respects everyone’s dignity and individual freedom enough to act with his feet and speak to our face.

Letters: A vote for Jon Kiper is a vote for our future

As one of the few state lawmakers with young children, my efforts to set up our children and grandchildren for success are often met with resistance. Working parents of young children struggle for representation in our lawmaking process, making necessary economic progress infuriatingly slow. Fortunately, a working parent is running for governor: Jon Kiper.

Jon Kiper: I’m not taking ‘The Pledge’

I am the only candidate for governor that has not taken this pledge—not because I intend to implement a broad-based sales or income tax, but because “The Pledge” is a deceitful fallacy.

‘NH deserves a working-class governor’ says Jon Kiper, a restaurateur vying for Democratic gubernatorial nomination

Jon Kiper is the maverick and the long shot in a race paced by former Manchester Mayor Joyce Craig and sitting Executive Councilor Cinde Warmington. Unlike Craig and Warmington, who have both taken the pledge to veto a sales or income tax, Kiper has shunned it. “I’m not proposing a broad-based tax,” he said, “but I’m not taking the pledge because it’s stupid.”

Kiper will fight housing inflation

There are five candidates for governor this year, but none among them understands the burden of the cost of living more than Jon Kiper. As a small business owner, he knows firsthand the impact of expensive housing. His customers and employees are a constant reminder.

Dems must fight fire with fire

Jon Kiper wants to make structural changes to our tax system. He has a plan to support our public schools and social services while simultaneously lowering property taxes.

Letters: Fairness in media coverage

However, despite possessing a background voters would likely view favorably, and demonstrating a nuanced understanding of the issues, Jon Kiper has struggled to obtain media attention. For example, his name is frequently omitted from lists of candidates, and when included, is often framed as an addendum: “Former Newmarket Town Councilor Jon Kiper is also in the race.”
