“This festival has been a Lett family tradition for 23 years, and so we’re looking to hand it off to the next generation of youth who will keep the cultural pillars intact,” says Sudi, currently in the thick of planning for the Aug. 19 annual celebration of culture, diversity and togetherness taking place at Veterans park from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
What began 22 years ago as an event intended to embrace Latino culture while supporting a good cause in the heart of Manchester has evolved into an opportunity to celebrate all ethnicities.
The We Are One Festival returns to Veterans Memorial Park, 723 Elm Street in Manchester, on Aug. 20. The festival will begin at 11 a.m. and concludes at 6 p.m. This is a rain or shine event.

The city will be celebrating its diversity in a unified way during the fifth-annual We Are One African/Caribbean Celebration on Aug. 17 at Veterans Park, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

More than 45 vendors filled the perimeter of Veterans Park creating the perfect setting for hundreds of attendees of this year’s We Are One Festival. Under mostly clear skies people gathered to dance and drum, do group Zumba, sample a variety of foods and catch up with neighbors and friends.
