Republican Vice Presidential candidate Senator J.D. Vance traveled to Derry Sunday to campaign. Sending the number two on the ticket to the Granite State two days before the election shows the Republicans fighting for New Hampshire’s four electoral college votes.
NHPR will host a series of candidate forums leading up to the 2024 General Election as part of an on-going effort to inform New Hampshire voters on local races for Governor, and Congressional Districts 1 and 2.

Citing the importance of small businesses in the economy and their job-generating capacity she announced a proposed plan of tax incentives for start-ups. Currently, a new business can deduct $5,000 in start-up expenses. She called for a tenfold increase to a $50,000 deduction and a reduction in red tape to incentivize new business formation.
Conversations with the candidates will likely touch on the economy, health care, education, climate change, immigration and foreign policy. New Hampshire voters are also encouraged to submit their questions for the candidates in advance.
