Hey everyone, Ink Link News Assistant Editor Andrew Sylvia here. As 2024 comes to a close, I browsed through the nearly 500 articles I wrote or edited about stories here in Manchester over the past 12 months and a few common themes arose. Here’s a look back at some of those ongoing narratives that continued over the course of several stories in the past year.
A small group of high school girls find themselves ready to lead by example on the West Side this coming school year in hope of inspiring a ripple of change amongst young women across the city. The Future Women’s Group at Manchester West High School is another way of navigating the oftentimes difficult lives of middle school students.
The state’s largest school district is relying heavily on school bus drivers to not only bring lunches and breakfast to school children each day but their teachers’ assignments as well.
Manchester Proud and its partner 2Revolutions will hold similar sessions for the public, on Dec. 3, 12, and 18, from 6 to 8 p.m., locations to be announced.
The five-week program for middle and high school students combines English language skill building with hands-on learning through lab and classroom work, as well as field trips.
