A small group of high school girls find themselves ready to lead by example on the West Side this coming school year in hope of inspiring a ripple of change amongst young women across the city. The Future Women’s Group at Manchester West High School is another way of navigating the oftentimes difficult lives of middle school students.
“Our small town knows how a strong football program can lead the way, change young lives and impact our community,” said Manchester Athletics Director Christine Pariseau-Telge. “This is exactly what West football is doing every day, both in and out of season. West football is inspiring our community to be better and do better. We hope the nation votes for West. We are West High!”
Yesterday the world lost Ashley Boie, a bright, young soul. At age 19, this beautiful young lady went through a 16-month battle with cancer.
Gerrylyn Emery talked about how she felt during Thursday’s lockdown, waiting for her twin daughters to emerge from West High School.
