Each year on the shortest day of the year, the Winter Solstice, members of the community gather at Veterans Park to commemorate local homeless individuals who have died. This year, members of community gathered again on the longest day of the year to celebrate homeless individuals who have survived. Additionally, those at the gathering also shared their thoughts on how to help others find their way out of homelessness.

Br. Isaac Murphy, O.S.B., has been elected the sixth abbot of Saint Anselm Abbey. Abbot Isaac has made history for being the first non-ordained abbot in the United States. The abbatial election was concluded on Monday, June 17, after Abbot Isaac’s election received permission from the Holy See, the supreme body of government of the Catholic Church.

With Beech Street School 4th graders moving to middle school for 5th grade starting next year, QC Bike has decided to offer a package to all of this year’s fourth AND fifth graders at Beech Street School. This is no trivial expansion; it represents an increase of 95 students, bringing the total number to 225!

Four New Hampshire Sisters from the Daughters of Mary, Mother of Healing Love order in Manchester have begun a walking pilgrimage to attend the National Eucharistic Conference in Indiana.  Mother Mary Maximilian, Sister Theresa Marie, Sister Mary Fatima, and Sister Miriam Christe will depart on foot from New Haven, CT, on Friday.
