Speeding Mercedes clocked at 136 mph on Everett Turnpike, driver charged

David Jordan, 25, ofย ย Manchester was arrested Sept. 28,ย charged with reckless driving and disobeying an officer after he was clocked at 136 mph on the F. E. Everett Turnpike in Nashua,ย and failed to stop for aย State Police Trooper in pursuit.

At approximately 4:15 p.m.ย on Sept.ย 28 NH State Police Trooper J. Quigley ofย Troop B, spottedย a red Mercedes Benz sedan driven by Jordan traveling northbound on the Everett Turnpike at aย high rate of speed. Theย vehicle passed Trooper Quigleyโ€™s ย cruiser in excess of 100 m.p.h.ย and did so while making multiple lane changes, crossing the width of the turnpike.

Trooperย Quigley activated his lights and siren andย and caught up to the Mercedes.ย Rather than stop, Jordanย changed lanes, passed through traffic and continued to accelerate his vehicle ultimately reaching the speed of 136 m.p.h.

Jordan finallyย stopped on the Exit 8 off-ramp where he was taken into custodyย without further incident. He is due to appear in the Nashua Circuit Court for arraignment on November 5, 2014.
