The Dartmouth Cancer Center held their 2nd annual Community Walk on Saturday May 16 at their 100 Hitchcock Way clinic in Manchester. Nearly $93,000 was raised to fund support services for patients and their families undergoing treatment at Dartmouth Cancer Center locations in southern New Hampshire. These services include support groups, massage therapy, education workshops, exercise classes, transportation assistance such as gas cards and grocery gift cards for patients with food insecurity. The event included a one-mile walk and community celebration with refreshments and activities for children.

A hundred riders from across New England took part in a multi-stop motorcycle ride on Saturday, May 2, in celebration of International Female Ride Day, raising funds and awareness for Dismas Home of New Hampshire, a nonprofit based in Manchester that provides support for women in recovery after incarceration.

The New Hampshire Charitable Foundation board of directors on Wednesday announced that Shawn V. Morehead has been selected to be the Foundation’s next president and CEO. Morehead will succeed Richard Ober of Dublin, who will retire in July after 16 years as president and CEO of New Hampshire’s statewide community foundation.
