Scott Lamper, 30, of Manchester was charged with burglary following a police investigation into items stolen Oct. 5 from 85 Beech St.

Just before 4 p.m. on Sunday police were sent to Belmont and Green streets where one of the stolen items, an iPhone, was “pinging,” which means an application loaded onto the device designed to track items using global positioning software located the phone at that location.

Officer Chris Day of the community policing division made contact with Scott Lamper atย 20 Hosley St. and recovered the stolenย iPhone, along with another cell phone and two tablets that were taken in theย burglary at 85 Beech St. earlier in the day.

Police say Lamper admitted that heย entered the Beech Streetย residence and stole the electronics while the residents were sleeping. Lamper was charged with burglary.

Police also discovered Lamper had a warrant out of Merrimack County for failure to pay child support.
