MANCHESTER, NH โ A city man is charged with felony criminal threatening following a stand-off at a Becker Street residence late Wednesdayย night.

Manchester Police officers responded to a call of a possibleย suicidal subject onย Becker Street at approximately 9:30 p.m. on October 15. Officers advised dispatch of the situation and asked them to contact the subject via telephone.
Contact was made and dispatch spoke with Jeffrey Green, 37,ย who told dispatchersย heย did not want police involvement and proceeded to barricade himself in his home.

A Member of the Manchester Police Crisis Intervention Team arrived to the sceneย and spoke with Green in an attempt to have him exit the home in a peaceful manner. Green allegedly threatened to โcome out shootingโ if the police officers remained.
A short time later, Manchester SWAT arrived and the crisis negotiatorโs started to speak with Green and ended the tense situation sometime after midnight on Oct 16. Green surrendered peacefully and was charged with criminal threatening, a felony, and obstructing government administration.
A subsequent of his home revealed an undisclosed number of firearms, to include several long guns. He will appear in court Oct. 16.
