Police investigate 2 armed robberies within 24 hours

MANCHESTER, NH โ€“ Two separate armed robberies were reported to Manchester Police Sunday and Monday, the first at an Elm Street gas station and the second at a West Side pharmacy.

In both incidents, the victimโ€™s reported a whiteย male entered their respective businesses, demanding cash while brandishing a knife.

The first armed robbery occurred November 16 at 1:42 p.m. at the Elm Street Shell gas station.ย The robber was described as a white male.ย approximately 5-foot-10, average build and unknown age. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded jacket (hood on), jeans and dark shoes. He appeared to be โ€œhomelessโ€ according to the victim. The robberย allegedly threatened the clerk with a knife and removed an undisclosed amount of cash and two packs of cigarettes before fleeing the area on foot.

The second attempted armed robbery occurred at approximately 1:04 p.m. on November 17 at the West Side Walgreenโ€™s, 227 S. Main St. in which theย a suspect was described as a white male,ย approximately 6-feet-tall,ย thin build, clean shaven and โ€œveryโ€ pale skin. He was wearing a Navy Blue hooded sweatshirt, faded blue jeans and unknown color shoes or sneakers. He was also brandishing a knife during the attempted robbery. He attempted to retrieve money from the clerk, but fled upon arrival of a second employee.

The robber left theย store empty-handed and fled on footย in an unknown direction.

Manchester Police Detectives are following-up on both cases to determine if they can link the male subject to both incidents. It is unknown at this time if one person is responsible for both robberies.
