
MANCHESTER, NH โ Manchester Police areย investigating threeย convenience store robberies or attempted robberies on Dec. 15 in which two clerks were assaulted.
Just before 5 p.m.ย aย white male with a dark mustache walked into the Shell Station at 570 Elm St. and asked the clerk for cigarettes. The manย was in the process of maneuvering around the counter demanding cash from the clerk when something spooked him and heย fled the store without cash.
At approximately 5:30 p.m. a man with a similar descriptionย enteredย Joseph Brothers, located at 196 Lake Ave. The manย asked for cigarettes and when the register was opened he grabbed an undetermined amount of cash from the drawer. A struggle ensued between the clerk and the robber, who punched theย clerk several times. The robberย then fled the store.
At approximately 8 p.m.ย a robber fitting the same description as the earlier two incidents, enteredย Union Street Market,ย 621 Union St. He asked for cigarettes and attempted to grab the cash register. A struggle ensued between the clerk and the robber, who punched the clerk during theย scuffle. The robberย fled the store.
Police are asking for the public’s help in finding the robber, who is described as a white male, about 5-foot-9, “heavy-set,” with a dark mustache, last seen wearing a dark-colored hooded jacket. Noย weapon was displayed during any of theย robberies, nor was there aย threat of one. Surveillance photographs of the suspect are included here.
