MANCHESTER, NH – A city man was arrested for prowling after police found him hiding near a fence outside an industrial park March 1.
Larry Mills, 50, of Manchester, was charged with loitering/prowling, possession of burglary tools and also placed on a 72-hour hold.
Officer Eric Joyal was patrolling the area of Candia Road at 11:38 p.m. on March 1, 2015 when he observed an open gate at Extra Space Storage, 901 Candia Road.
Officer Joyal drove into the storage yard and immediately observed footprints in the fresh snow. Additional officers arrived on scene to assist in locating a possible person of interest. Officer Jeff Fierimonte and his police dog partner Bauer arrived on scene and tracked the footprints from the rear of 720 East Industrial Park Drive, heading south. The tracks ended in the rear of CE Northeast, 520 East Industrial Park Drive.
Bauer continued tracking over the snow-covered ground, through a wooded area and multiple business parking lots, before locating Mills crouching along a fence in the rear of CE Northeast.
Mills was released on $500 cash/surety. A court date has yet to be set.
