Alleged bicycle burglar charged after smash-and-grab at West Side bike shop

MANCHESTER, NH โ€“ Anfernee Fuentes King, 17, of Manchester, was arrested in connection with an April 3 burglary at Cycles Etc., 420 Second St.

Police said the burglary occurred atย around 2:40 a.m. in which 2ย HARO-BMX bicycles were removed through a front glass window which had beenย smashed.

Atย 8:35 a.m., Officer Joe Ryan was driving his patrol car on Bridge Street, near Elm Street, when he sawย a young man, later identified as King, pushing a black, BMX style bicycle. He noticed the HARO brand name on the side of bike,ย so he stopped the man to question him about the bike.

During the course of the investigation Officer Ryan foundย the original sale tag for the bicycle and arrested King, who wasย charged with receiving stolen property.

King was released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail and will appear in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester on May 8, 2015.
