MANCHESTER, NH – On April 17 a man was arrested who identified himself as Juanibal Otero Laureano, 26, of Woonsocket, RI. He was arrested on outstanding NH State Police warrants for unsworn falsification and tampering with public records, after an investigation had revealed that he had provided false information in his driver license application.
During the booking process Trooper James O’Leary of the New Hampshire State Police observed that Laureano had mutilated fingerprints. The New Hampshire State Police along with multiple law enforcement agencies worked through the weekend to verify his true identity.
On April 20, 2015, Trooper O’Leary was notified by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, that despite having mutilated fingerprints, they were able to identify Laureano’s true identity as Luis Sierra Oyola, 32. It was also revealed, that Oyola had multiple outstanding warrants for drug dealing in Massachusetts.
Oyola was charged with being a fugitive from justice. He was held without bail and will be arraigned in the 9th Circuit – District Division – Manchester Court on April 21, 2015, at 8:30 a.m.
The New Hampshire State Police – Troop G was assisted by members of the Nashua Police Department, Saugus Police Department, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, United States Department of State – Bureau of Diplomatic Security and the New Hampshire Division of Motor Vehicles.
