MANCHESTER, NH – Osvaldo Cancela, 29, of Manchester was arrested Sept. 2 by U.S. Marshal’s at the request of Manchester Police on a warrant for armed robbery in which the victim was allegedly sliced with a knife.
Members of the U.S. Marshals – NH Joint Fugitive Task Force were in the process of setting up surveillance in the area of the last known address for Cancela when he was observed departing the residence on a bicycle. Cancela was followed for approximately two blocks, where he was stopped and arrested without incident on Dix Street in Manchester.
Cancela was transported to the Manchester Police Department, where he was booked on the outstanding arrest warrant. Cancela will be held at the Hillsborough County Jail pending his initial court appearance.
