MANCHESTER, NH โ€” The Manchester Arts Commission (M|A|C) presentsย a new art exhibit on display at City Hall.ย

The public is encouraged to visit anytime during City Hall business hours to view the work of artistย Timothy Michael Foley. In addition, the public is invited to an artistsย reception on Nov.ย 17 from 6 p.m. to 8ย p.m. where you can meet with the artist andย discuss his art work.

Born and raised in New Hampshire and currently living in Nashua, Foley has always had an interest and passion for art since his adolescent years. A 1998 graduate of Plymouth State University, Foley majored in biology, fine arts, and history, creatingย his own degree, environmental artist. Heย regards biology โ€” the study of lifeย โ€”ย asย an essential tool to have for an artist, who pulls from life experiences to create works of art. He enjoys beauty, and art is no exception. He minored in psychology to learn about himself, along with learning how to study the mannerisms of others.

As an active observationalist,ย Foley tends to paint more surrealistic and impressionistic styles, but says he goes through many different phases and styles. โ€œIโ€™m fond of artists like Michelangelo, Goya, David, Monet, Cole, Dali, Van Gogh and Vermeer to Picasso to name a few. Music is important, and I can be found with headphones while painting.โ€

For more information on the artist, feel free to contact him at Divinterve@comcast.net. Check out M|A|C on Facebook: facebook.com/manchesterarts; and on Instagram: @manchesterartscommission.
