Highlights from Memorial Swim Team Jan. 15 meet

MANCHESTER, NH – Memorial High School Boys and Girls Swim teams competed Jan. 15 against Exeter HS,  Portsmouth Christian Academy, Sanborn, Trinity, and Manchester Central. Below are highlights.

Manchester Memorial HS placed 2^nd for Girl and 3^rd for Boys.

• Anyssa Phaneuf (SO) shaved 26 sec of her personal best in the 100 Butterfly placing 4th
• Allie Richards (JR) shaving 18 sec of her personal best in the 200 Free
• Jessica Brewster (SR) shaved 11 sec of her personal best in the 100 Free
• John Sinotte (FR) shaved 11 sec of his personal best in the 50 free
• John Sinotte (FR) also shaved 25 seconds in the 100 Free

Outstanding performances:

Girls 200 Free: Capt. Shannon Upham (SR) placed 5^th; Viviane D’Amico (JR) placed 6^th

Men’s 200 Free: Jack Sharpe (FR) placed 3^rd ;Andrew Perkins (SR) placed 5^th

Girls 200M Individual Medley (IM): Madison Edwards (FR) placed 4^th. Alex Terrio (SR) placed 8^th. This was Alex’s first time swimming the IM. Great Job.

Men’s 200M IM: Capt. Jason Aubin (SR) placed 3^rd

Girls 50M Free: Marley Sullivan (FR), Kira Collier (SO) and Capt. Hannah Vest (SR) placed 7^th, 8^th & 9^th

Men’s 50 M Free: Jack Sharpe (FR) placed 5th

Girls 100M Butterfly: Anyssa Phaneuf (So) placed 4^th

Men’s 100 M Butterfly: Louis Montanez (SR) placed 5^th

Girls 400M Free: Capt. Shannon Upham (SR) placed 4^th

Men’s 400 M Free: Louis Montanez (SR) placed 5^th

Men’s 100M Backstroke:  Jacob Brien (SO) placed 4^th

Girls 100M Breaststroke: Madison Edwards (FR) placed 4^th

Men’s 100 M Breaststroke: Capt. Jason Aubin (SR) placed 5^th
