Smooth Hound Smith
Smooth Hound Smith

MANCHESTER, NH โ€” Nothing shakes the soul quite like live music, up close and personal. Be ready whenย Smooth Hound Smithย comes forย your musical soulย onย Jan. 29, for a one-night stand atย Amoskeag Studio.ย

Described as folky garage-infused rhythm & blues with American roots, Smooth Hound Smith is comprised of a Nashville-based “one-man-band” Zack Smith (guitars/vocals/foot drums/harmonicas/banjo) and Caitlin Doyle (vocals/percussion). Using primal foot percussion, finger-picked guitar patterns, warbled harmonicas, tasty harmonies and a lot of tambourine, they are able to create something rugged and visceral โ€” a modern interpretation of early blues, soul, and rock ‘n’ roll music that harkens back to the traditions of hazy front porch folk songs as well as raucous back-alley juke joints.

Ticketsย availableย online in advance: $12 general, $7 students, or at the door:ย $17 general, $10 students.ย Doors open at 7 p.m.; show starts at 8 p.m.

In addition, the work of artist Sean Kramer will be exhibited.
