MANCHESTER, NH — On Jan. 29 Memorial HS Swim teams swam their last meet of the regular season vs. Merrimack, Timberlane, Central, West and Trinity. This was an invitational style swim meet designed without relay races.
Several outstanding performances occurred, led by our seniors and captains, demonstrating sportsmanship and enthusiasm motivating the entire team.
Not one Memorial swimmer disqualified in their events.
For the Boys:
- Capt. Jason Aubin led his team by qualifying in the 50M Free
- Luis Montanez set the example of grit and determination in 2 of the most difficult events. Placing 4th in the 200M IM and 2nd in the 100M Butterfly.
- Cameron Hand (JR) placed 4th in the 200M Free
For the Girls:
- The Girl’s team was led by Capt. Hanna Vest and Capt. Shannon Upham.
- Capt. Shannon Upham (SR) placed 5th in the 200M Free and 3rd in the 400M Free
- Madison Edwards (FR) posted state qualifying times in the 200M IM a as well as in the 100 M Breaststrokes. Madison had earlier qualified in the 400M FREE
- Melanie Slaybe (SR) placed 3rd in the 100M Butterfly
