MANCHESTER, NH โ€”The Manchester Police Athletic League (MPAL) ย is undergoing an โ€œextreme makeoverโ€ thanks to the dedicated group of volunteers known as Building On Hope.ย  The MPAL center has long been a resource and refuge for thousands of city youth, allowing them to establish a stronger sense of self while making meaningful connections with caring mentors.ย  Now, with the help of hundreds of volunteers and donations, the building will be revitalized, enabling the center to become an even more important part of the community.

FEEDNH.org, Great NH Restaurantsโ€™ Charitable Trust made a $25,000 donation to renovate the kitchen at the facility located on Beech Street in Manchester. โ€œSince the mission of FEEDNH.org is to help NHโ€™s Families, Elderly, Education and Disadvantaged, it just made sense for us to support this kitchen project,โ€ said Tanya Randolph of FEEDNH.org.ย  โ€œWe look forward to having Chef Nicole bring her Great NH Kids Can Cook program to the MPAL children once renovations are complete.โ€

Planning and fundraising for the project began last December, and the renovation will take place May 13-22, 2016.ย  Building On Hope is still actively seeking volunteers and donations to help complete the massive project.
