MANCHESTER, NH – During one of the year’s most exciting events, a regional panel of judges crowned Alexis Chinn, 21, of Pembroke, this year’s Miss New Hampshire USA. Jadyn McDonough, 18, of Bedford, was crowned Miss New Hampshire Teen USA.

The competition, which was held at the DoubleTree Hilton, was an evening to remember for all contestants.
“After many years of working in the pageant industry, I feel confident that both young women will be great representatives of the state of New Hampshire,” said Laurie Clemente, Executive Director. “I know they will make us proud as they go on to compete for the title of Miss Teen USA next summer and the LIVE Miss USA Telecast this spring on FOX.
Throughout the event, delegates competed in “runway,” a choreographed evening gown competition; “fitness/swimsuit,” a high-fashion styled competition showcasing physical fitness and health and “interview.” The three segments were judged by a celebrity panel including NBC10 Entertainment Reporter Jackie Bruno.
Miss USA is a precursor to the annual Miss Universe Pageant.
The field was narrowed down to a “Top 5” before the climactic crowning. State titleholders will receive a prize package including cash, college scholarships, wardrobe, travel opportunities and more, that exceeds $20,000.
