MANCHESTER, NH – On Saturday night, the Manchester Monarchs dropped their second game in as many days, falling 4-2 to the visiting Reading Royals.
Reading opened the contest with three unanswered goals, including a goal from Jack Riley just 2:59 into the contest. Manchester’s first goal came at 13:22 in the second period, connecting on a pass from Spencer Watson that went over the glove of Reading goaltender and former Monarch Brandon Komm.
Steven Swavely provided Reading’s fourth goal just moments before the second intermission and Zeb Knutson provided the game’s final goal in the waning moments of the third period.
The Monarchs, now 4-4-1-1 on the season, conclude this current homestand with three points in three games.
They now head to Newfoundland for a contest against the Growlers on Friday at 5:30 p.m.
