FUKUOKA, JAPAN โ€“ Although Takakeisho lost his perfect November record, he now has sole control of the lead in this monthโ€™s basho.

Takakeisho defeated Myogiryu, climbing to 7-1.ย  Takakeishoโ€™s victory came through a hikiotoshi, taking advantage of Myogiryuโ€™s overzealous tachi-ai, stepping aside to provide a downward movement to move Myogiryu toward the edge of the dohyo. Another gentle push provided all that was needed to seal the win.

Onosho lost quickly via yorikiri to Meisei, with Meisei establishing a strong left arm grip to move the red-hot maegashira out of the dohyo.

Daiesho also lost by yorikiri to join Onosho at 6-2, with six rikishi now one win behind Takakeishoโ€™s lead.
