Penmen men’s basketball hovering just over .500

WEST HAVEN, Conn. โ€“ Southern New Hampshire University dropped to 10-9 on Saturday, falling to the University of New Haven, 76-62.

New Haven scored the first nine points of the game, heading to a six-point lead by the half. Despite a pair of three-pointers coming out of the break to tie things up, New Haven controlled most of the second half, building a lead as large as 17 points at its apex.

SNHU junior Eamonn Joyce (Medford, Mass.) scored a team-best 17 points. Fellow SNHU junior Shawn Montague (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) contributed a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

The Penmen return to action Wednesday, Feb. 6 (7:30 p.m.) when they take on Saint Michael’s College.
