TRENTON, N.J. โ€“ The New Hampshire Fisher Cats dropped their second straight Garden State game on Tuesday night, falling to the Trenton Thunder, 3-1.

Chris Gittensโ€™ fifth homer of the year gave Trenton a two-run advantage in the first, adding another homer to right in the sixth.

Only Santiago Espinalโ€™s RBI single in the fifth spoiled what was a spotless night for Trentonโ€™s pitching staff, as Albert Abreu and Trevor Lane limited New Hampshire to just three total hits on the evening

Abreu (1-2) got revenge for his loss last week in Manchester, going six innings in the win.

New Hampshireโ€™s pitchers didnโ€™t do much worse, with Zach Logue finishing six innings in the loss, allowing just four hits on top of the two bombs by Gittens.

After the departure of Logue (2-1), Willy Ortiz allowed just one hit in his two innings of relief.

Both teams return for the series finale at ARM&HAMMER Park tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. as New Hampshireโ€™s Yennsy Diaz (1-2, 4.29 ERA) takes on a Trenton starter yet to be named.
