Early-morning call for ‘suspicious device’ brings bomb squad, results in arrest

MANCHESTER, NH โ€” A city man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a report of a “suspicious device” located under a vehicle on Morning Glory Drive.

On June 12, 2019, at approximately 2:54 a.m., police were dispatched to investigate the report. The New Hampshire State Police Explosives Disposal Unit was called in responded and safely removed the device from the vehicle. ย 

At this time there is no additional threat to the safety of the surrounding community, according to police.

As a result of the preliminary investigation, officers arrested Patrick Durgin, 26, and charged him with one count of placement of simulated explosives, a class A felony.ย 

In addition to Durgin’s arrest, officers also arrested Aleana Haselton, 28, at the scene, and charged her with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and simple assault on a police officer.ย 

No additional information was available from police regarding the circumstances.
