John Gennetti joins the Currier Museum as Director of Philanthropy

Manchester, NH – January 24, 2020 – The Currier Museum of Art is pleased to announce that John J. Gennetti is the museum’s new Director of Philanthropy. Gennetti has over twenty years of experience in philanthropic endeavors and a strong track record of success in New Hampshire. He will help lead the museum to broaden its visibility and cultivate long-term supporters.

“We are pleased to welcome John Gennetti to the Currier Museum,” stated Alan Chong, the Currier’s Director. “Incorporated a century ago, the museum has just acquired a house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. John will help us strengthen our commitment to art in the community.”

Gennetti most recently served as the executive director of philanthropy at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua. He has served as assistant vice president for major gifts at Saint Anselm College and as vice president of development for New Hampshire Catholic Charities.

As Director of Philanthropy, Gennetti will focus on building relationships around the museum’s expansive arts and community programming as well as working closely with the Currier’s director, board, and senior leadership team to strengthen ties to the regional community.

 

Gennetti currently serves as chairman of the board of trustees at Bellwether Community Credit Union. He is also Vice President of the Foundation Board of Trustees at the Pine Haven School. He is a graduate of Upsala College in East Orange, New Jersey and has a master’s degree in social work from Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
