MANCHESTER, NH โ€” Around the country Nov. 3 was National Sandwich Day, and the Subway on Valley Street in Manchester celebrated by donating nine sandwich platters, which will provide two days of lunches for one of the NH Food Bankโ€™s agency partners.

The Good Deed Feed was part of a larger initiative to help feed those more than 42 million Americans โ€” including more than 13 million children โ€” who live in households that may not have enough food for an active, healthy life.

The promotion included a donation of a free sub of equal or lesser value to Feeding America for every sandwich purchased Thursday, nationwide.
