FRANKLIN, NH โ€“ Child and Family Services was recently awarded a grant in the amount of $7,500 from Franklin Savings Bank to support camperships. This grant will be used to send youth from low-income families to two-weeks of overnight camp at YMCA Camp Spaulding.

Each year, through charitable donations and grants, such as the one from Franklin Savings Bank, more than 130 boys and girls, ages 8-15, whose families are economically disadvantaged, get to experience the time of their lives at camp.   This experience provides an opportunity for kids to escape the stressors at home, explore nature, have fun, make new friends, learn new skills, build self confidence, embark on new adventures, learn about different cultures from a diverse group of kids and counselors, and make memories to last a lifetime.

Nestled on 56 acres of forest along the Contoocook River in Penacook, NH, Camp Spaulding is a partnership between the YMCA of Greater Nashua, the Concord Family YMCA, and Child and Family Services of NH.  For further information, visit, www.campspaulding.org
