MANCHESTER, N.H. – Spring brings flowers, and apparently new flower shops as well.
Hot on the heels of another flower shop opening earlier this month a little over a block away, Crimson and Clover Florist opened its doors on Wednesday morning in a ceremony hosted by the Manchester Economic Development Office or MEDO.
For store owner Robin Vallie, the moment marked the latest chapter in a long love of flowers.
“It’s always been my dream to own my own flower shop, I’m very passionate and I put my heart and soul into every piece I make,” she said.
The store is located on Merrimack Street in the Carpenter Center building, right next to AR Workshop. Vallie said that she expects to collaborate in various social events with AR Workshop, which had helped her prepare in the run-up for her store’s opening. She also received significant support from family and friends in opening the store, with many members of her family in attendance at the event on Wednesday.
“That was one of the most heartwarming, inspirational ribbon cuttings we’ve done in a while. Lots of family vibes, lots of love in the room,” said MEDO Director Jodie Nazaka. “I think they’re a sign of what’s to come. There are a lot of small businesses opening throughout the city that have a lot of family pride and passion and experience. They’re excited about moving into our city and we’re excited about welcoming them into our city.”
Crimson and Clover Florist is open from 10 to 4, Monday through Friday, and 10 to 2 on Saturdays. More information on the business can be obtained at crimsoncloverflorist.com
