MANCHESTER, NH โย Manchester Police Chief Peter Marr said police continue investigating a reported incident on Holly Avenue on July 25 that resulted in a man being hospitalized with critical injuries.
As day three of the investigation continues, what exactly happened or how the man was injured remains unclear.
Marr said during a news conference Monday that there is no evidence that leads them to believe there is any danger to the public.
“It looks like whatever took place happened inside the residence. Other than that we’re following all of our investigative leads and working the case,” Marr said. “When we work a case we don’t like to jump to any conclusions. The victim had some injuries,” but beyond that, Marr declined to confirm details.
When asked about surveillance video, Marr said police have canvassed the neighborhood for data and information and continue to do so.
“If any member of the public witnessed anything on Holly Avenue that they thought was abnormal please call us. We’ll continue to work this case – we have to rely on facts, not assumptions,” he said. “We have nothing to suggest this was a random act or anything like that.”
WMUR first reported through interviews with family members that Trevor Bouchard was found unconscious inside the residence Friday night as the result of an assault โย a word that was not used during the interview with Marr.
“We feel for the victim and the family but we have to work this case without feelings attached to it,” Marr said.
On Monday morning Manchester Police released a brief statement with few details. Marr reinforced during Monday’s press conference that they are still in the fact-gathering phase.
