
MANCHESTER, NH – Three people were arrested Aug. 6 in the early morning hours after the Manchester Police Department’s Special Enforcement Division, in coordination with the SWAT Team, executed a search warrant at 567 Union St., Apartment #42. The warrant was the result of an ongoing investigation by the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) into the illegal sale of narcotics.
As a result of the investigation and subsequent operation, three individuals were taken into custody:
- James Barna, 37, was arrested on an active MPD warrant for Conspiracy to Sell a Controlled Drug – Fentanyl.
- Cody Duarte, 31, was arrested on an active MPD warrant for Sale of a Controlled Drug – Fentanyl, as well as an outstanding Electronic Bench Warrant.
- Amanda Bastine, 37, was arrested on an Electronic Bench Warrant.



During the execution of the search warrant, officers seized the following:
- Approximately 73.5 grams of Heroin/Fentanyl
- Approximately 3.7 grams of Crack Cocaine
- A quantity of U.S. currency believed to be proceeds from illegal drug sales
This operation is part of the department’s ongoing commitment to targeting individuals involved in the distribution of dangerous narcotics within the community.
