BEDFORD, NH –The New Hampshire Department of Education has approved Bedford Academy to expand its academic offerings to include sixth grade, beginning in the 2025-2026 school year. This private school in Bedford previously served students from pre-school through grade 5 since 2021.
The expansion follows the submission of a program of study and updated student policies, which were reviewed and approved in accordance with New Hampshire Department of Education standards and received formal approval from the State Board of Education.
The decision to add sixth grade was driven by sustained interest from current families seeking continued options beyond fifth grade with the same quality of education. Plans are also underway to accommodate this growth through additional space as well as expanded athletic opportunities to support traditional middle school programs and enhance the overall student experience.
