MANCHESTER, NH – Did you know that fewer than 1 in 1,000 married couples make it to their 72nd anniversary? Doris and Richard Rand of Manchester are one of the lucky ones.

On Aug. 22 the pair celebrated at St. Teresa Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, where they are both residents.

Described by staff as a lively, engaging couple, Rich and Doris enjoyed cake, nostalgic photos, a sing-along and presentation in their honor by Mayor Jay Ruais.

When asked the secret to their long and happy marriage, Doris shared, “Listen to each other.” Rich smiled and added, “Pick the right one!”

Cheers to the couple of their love, laughter, and a lifetime of memories – with many more to come!
