
MANCHESTER, NH โ A Manchester man is dead following a motorcycle crash Oct. 6 on Interstate 293 southbound.
At 2:24 p.m. State Troopers assigned to the Troop B barracksย responded to a reported crash in the area ofย Exit 6.
The preliminary investigation determined that Matthew R. Alosa, 59, of Manchester, was traveling south on his black 2009 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when he did not negotiate a left turn along the road and ultimately lost control of the motorcycle. The Harley-Davidson went off the right side of the road and entered a wooded area, where the motorcycle came to a stop.
As a result of injuries suffered during the crash, Alosa was pronounced deceased at the scene by members of the Manchester Fire Department.
During the investigation, the right lane of I-293 southbound and the on-ramp from Eddy Road to I-293 southbound were shut down. Both were reopened just before 5:30 p.m.
Troopers were assisted at the scene by members of the Manchester police and fire departments and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.
