MANCHESTER, N.H. โ Although the weather is getting colder, local golfers just got a new place to practice their skills until spring comes and socialize with their friends year-round.
City Club Golf held an open house this week, a members-only hideaway nestled inside the Queen City Center on Canal Street.
The facility has several aboutGolf simulators along with other amenities such as a large lounge area for watching sporting events and access to concierge food service from other businesses at the Queen City Center such as Harpoon Brewery and Clydeโs Cupcakes.
There are also plans for open mic comedy nights, music shows, trivia nights with Bill and Alex Seney and murder mystery parties in upcoming months.
City Club Golf owner Nick Carnes is an avid golfer and felt that this new business could provide a vital new third place for downtown Manchester residents who might want to hit the course without heading too far.
โGolf is one of the fastest-growing sports in America and we felt that there was a gap in downtownโs entertainment offerings that could attract a certain clientele that we could provide with a all-in-one stop shop,โ he said.
