Concord Garden Club’s 23rd Annual Art and Bloom, Kimball Jenkins Estate, Concord, NH – Held in conjunction with the Women’s Caucus for Art and Kimball Jenkins Estate, club members and local floral professionals create floral arrangements inspired by works of art on display during Kimball Jenkins’ January art exhibition. SNH NEMBA Group Ride, Depot Road, Auburn, NH – Participate in a group ride for riders who previously rode in the faster paced groups on Thursdays! (Pace 7.5 – 8.5mph). 20th Annual New England Winter Wine Spectacular, DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester Downtown, Manchester, NH – The New England Winter Wine Spectacular, the premier event of New Hampshire Wine Week is New England’s largest showcase of wine! Balto, Red River Theatres, Concord, NH – In this animated feature, a deadly diphtheria epidemic strikes the remote town of Nome, Alaska. With the life-saving medicine located hundreds of miles away, the residents decide to send out a sled-dog team. Balto (Kevin Bacon) — a half-wolf dog ignored by all except a goose, Boris (Bob Hoskins), and two polar bears — is chosen to run but is disqualified by lead dog Steele (Jim Cummings). When the other dogs get lost in the snow, Balto risks his life to rescue them and deliver the medicine. The showing will take place on Saturday, Jan. 24 at 10:30 am. $5 for all ages.
