JACKMAN, Maine — A New Hampshire woman died Friday in a snowmobile accident in northern Maine, the Maine Warden Service reported Saturday.
Michelle Carolina Cantos, 23, lost control of her Polaris snowmobile and was pronounced dead at the scene at about 11:45 a.m., the warden service said in a news release. The release did not say where in New Hampshire Cantos is from.
The accident was on ITS [International Trail System] 89 in Jackman, which is in northern Somerset County. Cantos was reportedly riding with a group of family and friends at the time of the accident.
No other information was immediately available.
