Today’s Weather

Expect a cloudy day with a couple of showers, cooler temperatures, and gusty winds. Enjoy a morning high of 56 but be prepared for the temperature to drop to around 35. Winds will be coming from the WNW at 10 to 20 mph, so bundle up and stay warm!

Thursday, the National Park Service, the National Cherry Blossom Festival, and the Trust for the National Mall shared their official spring forecast for peak bloom, expecting it to happen between March 29 and April 1.


Today: Cloudy with a couple of showers (.12″) and turning cooler & windy. Morning high of 56 with temps falling to near 35. Winds: WNW 10-20+ mph

Tonight: Clearing, breezy, and much colder. Low 25 (feel like 18) Winds: WNW 10-15+ mph

Friday: Cooler with morning sun and afternoon clouds. High 42 (feel like 32) Winds: SW 10-15 mph

Friday night: A mix of rain and snow showers. Low 33 (feel like 26) Winds: SSW 10-15 mph

Saturday: Some sun & clouds with gusty chilly wind. High 45 (feel like 33) Winds: WNW 15-25+ mph

Saturday night: Partly cloudy & cold. Low 22 (feel like 17) Winds: WNW 10-15 mph

Sunday: Cloudy & chilly. High Around 40 (feel like 33) Winds: S 5-15 mph

Sunday night: Cloudy with rain (.25โ€ณ) late. Low 34 (feel like 28) Winds: SE 5-15 mph

Monday: Milder & breezy with periods of rain (.50″). High 57 (feel like 53) Winds: SSE 10-20 mph

Elevations for summits above 4,000 feet in Northern New Hampshire today: Summits will be hidden, with likely rain showers and a chance of freezing rain and sleet in the morning, plus a possibility of snow. Highs will reach the upper 30s, with west winds at 35 to 45 mph and gusts up to 85 mph. Thereโ€™s a 60 percent chance of precipitation, and wind chills could drop as low as 15 below in the afternoon.

Elevations between 2,500 and 4,000 feet in Northern New Hampshire today: Expect obscured summits with rain showers likely in the morning and a chance of snow. Highs will be in the lower 40s, with west winds at 25 to 35 mph and gusts reaching up to 65 mph. Thereโ€™s a 70 percent chance of precipitation, and wind chills could drop to as low as 7 below in the afternoon.
