Today’s Weather

The day is overcast and chilly, with a few light snow showers expected, potentially leaving a dusting of up to an inch on grassy surfaces. As the afternoon progresses, a brisk breeze will develop, making it feel even colder—around 37 degrees—despite a high of 45. Winds will shift to the northwest, gusting between 10 and 20 miles per hour or more, adding to the wintery chill in the air.

Stepping out this morning might be a bit of a shock, with temperatures starting in the 30s—along with some snow accumulating a dusting to an inch on grass. This burst of cold air will be one of the shorter wintry spells we’ve seen in recent months. By the latter half of the week, temperatures are expected to bounce back quickly, with highs reaching the 60s from Thursday to Friday into the weekend.

Summer vibes could make an appearance next week, with temperatures climbing into the 70s on Monday and possibly reaching 80 on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Elevations for summits above 4,000 feet in Northern New Hampshire today: The mountain tops will be hidden, with a chance of snow and highs in the lower 20s. Expect west winds at 20 to 30 mph, with gusts reaching up to 65 mph. There’s a 50 percent chance of snow, and wind chills could drop as low as 16 below.

Elevations between 2,500 and 4,000 feet in Northern New Hampshire today: Summits will be hidden with a chance of snow. Temperatures will peak in the upper 20s, with northwest winds at 10 to 15 mph and gusts reaching up to 45 mph. Snow is possible at a 50 percent chance.
