April 21-21: Immersive “People of Hope’ Museum coming to Manchester

MANCHESTER, NH – A powerful, one-of-a-kind traveling museum experience is coming to Manchester’s Saint Anselm College April 21-22, offering an opportunity to step inside real stories of compassion, resilience, and community impact.

Catholic Charities NH is joining Catholic Charities agencies across the United States to host “People of Hope: Faith-Filled Stories of Neighbors Helping Neighbors,” a nationwide storytelling museum. The experience brings to life the transformative impact of service in communities locally and across the country, while helping attendees discover simple, meaningful ways to support their neighbors in need.

  • April 21: 11 a.m.- 7 p.m.
  • April 22: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. – Saint Anselm College; 100 Saint Anselm Drive, Manchester, NH 03102

Housed in a retrofitted tractor-trailer, the People of Hope Museum offers an immersive experience in which visitors can:

• View a showcase of 40 first-hand stories from staff and volunteers of Catholic Charities agencies nationwide, sharing meaningful encounters and what it means to serve those in need
• Step into an interactive poverty simulation and experience the real-life decisions and tradeoffs many families face every day
• Explore data and insights on how poverty impacts individuals and families here in New Hampshire
• Listen to compelling audio reflections on community, service, and human connection
• Record and share their own stories of hope and helping others

“The challenges the museum brings to life aren’t happening somewhere else – they’re happening right here in New Hampshire,” said Tom Blonski, president and CEO of Catholic Charities NH. “This unique experience helps people better understand their own community and see how they can be part of the solution.”’The museum is free and open to the public.
