READY, SET, LEAD, Concord, NH – Ready, Set, Lead is for candidates who are all in, campaign volunteers, and potential future candidate alike! Sharpen campaign skills, dive into the issues, and connect with other values-aligned candidates and 603 Forward partner organizations. You’ll leave with a clear roadmap and the support you need to make it happen. This event will take place on Saturday, May 30 & Sunday, May 31. Kevin Slattery Memorial Food Drive, Participating Locations, NH – Kevin Slattery was a board member of UWGN who made philanthropy a major part of his life, giving back to the community through many local non-profits and charities. We have created this community-wide food drive in his honor. We need your help! United Way of Greater Nashua volunteers will be at grocery and convenience stores across the Greater Nashua area, asking customers to consider purchasing extra food and supplies to donate. This event will take place on Saturday, May 30 & Sunday, May 31 from 10 am to 1 pm at participating grocery and convenience stores throughout the area. All donations will be distributed to food pantries and soup kitchens serving the towns of Amherst, Brookline, Hollis, Hudson, Litchfield, Lyndeborough, Merrimack, Milford, Mont Vernon, Nashua, and Wilton. Materials to Masterpiece, League of NH Craftsmen Headquarters, Concord, NH – Explore the journey of traditional and contemporary craft, from humble raw materials to refined works of art. Unfinished pieces will be featured alongside finished work to illuminate the process, skill, artistry, and vision behind each creation. 1000 Books Before Kindergarten, Manchester City Library, Manchester, NH – Don’t forget we are offering a reading program for our youngest readers. Through READsquared, parents can register their children ages 1-5 for our 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten. You will create an account where you can enter the number of books they read, listen to storytimes, or use the several booklists that the staff have put together. Friday Evening Spin, Queen City Bike Shop, Manchester, NH – Join us on Fridays and Sundays for the upcoming QC Bike Community Rides! Starting from the QC Bike shop, these are no-drop rides, around 8-10 miles each. On Friday evenings we typically end at a local brewery and on Sunday morning we usually wrap up at a local coffee shop. This community bike ride will take place on Friday, May 29 starting at 5:30 pm.

Type 1 Run, Pinkerton Academy, Derry, NH – Type 1 Run at Pinkerton Academy: a one-mile run/walk raising awareness and funds for Type 1 diabetes. Join us and support the community! Get ready to lace up your sneakers and hit the pavement at the Type 1 Run! This fun, in-person event celebrates movement and community spirit. The run/walk will be about one mile through the Pinkerton Academy campus, with different stations along the way to educate participants about diabetes. Half of the proceeds will go to Breakthrough T1D, and the other half will support a fall initiative where we create personalized kits for newly diagnosed children and their parents. Community Meal, YWCA, Manchester, NH – This is a community meal for everyone in the city. We are eager to build community and meaningful connections with everyone, from all walks of life and backgrounds. There is no fee or charge – please come hungry and open to meeting new people! The Community Meal is from 12 pm – 2 pm on the last Saturday of every month. People are welcome to bring baked goods or drinks to share, but nothing is required.
