MANCHESTER, NH – The SEE Science Center is hosting its annual week-long event to celebrate the start of summer school break and family exploration season. Kickoff to Summer2026 will be held from June 20-26, 2026.
This fun-filled event is presented by Dartmouth Health Children’s. Additional support is provided by NBT Bank.
This year the SEE Science Center’s Kickoff to Summer is featuring activities using LEGO® Bricks and will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the LEGO® Millyard Project.
The LEGO® Millyard model is a permanent representation of Manchester’s millyard circa 1900. It was built with more than 3 million LEGO® pieces over the course of two and a half years. It is the largest permanent LEGO® installation at minifigure scale in the world, as recognized by Guinness World Records®.
Visitors of all ages will be able to try building challenges and creative activities using LEGO® bricks and pieces. Visitors can also learn more about the record-breaking project, how it was built and what it represents.

During this celebration week, there will also be special LEGO® models on display built by members of the New England LEGO® User’s Group (NELUG). The club was instrumental in creating the millyard model. At various times, special guests will give tips and show the many amazing things that can be done with LEGO® bricks.
The SEE Science Center is open seven days-a-week from Memorial Day through Labor Day with the exception of being closed July 4th. Admission to SEE is $15 per person for ages 3 and up. All Kickoff to Summer activities are included with admission and are available each day of the event. SEE is a member of the Museums for All national initiative offering discounted memberships and $3 admission to EBT, WIC and SNAP cardholders.
