From June 16–18, a thin crescent moon sweeps in to join the planets, creating a three‑night alignment:
June 16: The moon approaches the trio from the left.
June 17: The moon aligns most closely with the planets — the best night for photos.
June 18: The moon slides to the right as the grouping begins to spread.
