MANCHESTER, NH – Tyler Robert Bachert, 30, passed away unexpectedly on April 5, 2026, in Los Angeles, CA.
He was born on December 20, 1995, at Emerson Hospital in Concord, Mass., during a New England nor’easter. When he was only days old his family moved to Manchester, NH, where he was raised. He attended Green Acres Elementary School and McLaughlin Middle School. Tyler spent his freshman and senior years at Manchester Memorial High School and his sophomore and junior years at Trinity High School. He graduated from Memorial in 2014.
Other than family, there was nothing Tyler loved more than sports – any kind of sports. He wanted to play them all. In elementary school, Tyler asked to play hockey even though he could barely skate. He went on to play for two years. He also played soccer until he was old enough for football. He simply wanted to play anything and everything. He was always okay with how his team finished if he felt he had done his best.

Tyler’s heart was bigger than his body. When he loved, he loved deeply. He struggled with loss of friends and beloved adults who passed away too soon. He had a quick temper, a huge heart, and was smarter than most people we knew. He was sweet, funny, and handsome, but during his later teenage years and early adulthood, it became clear that there was something else going on.
In the last few years of his left, Tyler had accepted his diagnosis of schizophrenia, but he continued battling the voices. On April 5, 2026, the voices won.

He is survived by his loving parents, Tracy and Peter Bachert of Manchester; his loving sister, Ashley, of Denver, Colorado; his older brother, Justin, of Los Angeles, California; his nephew, Hayden, of New York, New York; his uncle Jeff Stallard of Lowell, MA; and many cousins, friends, and family members across the country.
Tyler also had an amazing support system at VSN Unity in Los Angeles. This incredible group of people surrounded him with love and support as he navigated the challenges life handed him. They have continued to honor him with kindness, and we cannot thank them enough for the friendship, compassion, and love they showed him during the last two years of his life.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 25, 2026, from 5-9 p.m. on The Patio at The Hilton Garden Inn. This venue is especially meaningful to us because it overlooks the baseball field he loved.
Please feel free to stop by for a few minutes or stay for a few hours. We want to celebrate Tyler’s life before schizophrenia and focus on the joy, laughter and love he brought to so many people. We hope you can join us.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to NAMI NH or Friends of Aine.
