HOOKSETT, NH – A Manchester woman has died from injuries sustained in a single-vehicle crash early Thursday morning.
At approximately 7:15 a.m., the Hooksett Police Department responded to a motor vehicle accident on Smyth Road at the intersection with Prescott Heights Road. The vehicle involved, a white Jeep Compass, appeared to have left the roadway and struck a tree.
The operator and sole occupant was later identified as Jessica Gurney, 42 of Manchester, NH. She was transported from the scene to the hospital where she died of injuries sustained in the crash.
The roadway was shut down for several hours while the Hooksett Crash Reconstruction Unit was on scene. The cause of the crash is under investigation and anyone who has any information is asked to contact Sgt. Joseph Ducharme at 603-624-1560 ext 410 or jducharme@hooksettpolice.gov.
