According to a recent estimate by the Manchester Assessors Office, the city will be losing approximately $6,000,000 total in property tax revenue over the next five years due to tax relief granted to the developer of the apartment project on W. Auburn Street, across from the downtown Market Basket.
With all of the uncertainties brought about by the pandemic, the 20th anniversary of the Manchester Rotary Club’s Cruising Downtown event had to be cancelled last year. This momentous occasion will be celebrated this year on Saturday, September 4 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. when Cruising returns.

New Hampshire Rotary clubs and the Common Man Family are partnering as “Mask Up, New Hampshire!” to distribute FREE breathable, washable, and reusable cloth face masks to New Hampshire citizens. 67,000 masks have been donated by the Common Man Family.
The Heritage Commission recently learned that the VA ended the Section 106 process, and that the mitigation will not include saving the Manager’s Residence. The VA is no longer being required to consult with the local community regarding the future of the Manager’s Residence, and efforts to open up a dialogue have been rebuffed.
